The Relief and Recovery Unit (RRU) provides mapping services open to all humanitarian organisations in Zimbabwe. With a small team of GIS and Database personnel, the GIS Unit is involved in the mapping of the humanitarian situation in Zimbabwe. Some of the maps produced by the unit are made available on the “Maps” section of the RRU website. These maps are organised into three categories namely:
- Analysis Maps: - Analysis maps overlay different related themes in an attempt to graphically highlight the relationships between them;
- Who What Where Maps: - These maps show the organisations that are involved in humanitarian work in Zimbabwe, the work that they are doing and the locations where they are operating in;
- General Maps: - This category contains maps that may be of interest, but do not necessarily show humanitarian information.RRU offices in Harare or downloaded below.

Those humanitarian organisations that require specialised maps for their specific needs are also free to contact the GIS Unit with their requirements. The GIS Unit can produce these maps up to size A0. Map request forms can be collected from the RRU offices in Harare or downloaded below.
The designations used and the presentations of the maps produced by the GIS unit do not imply the expression of any opinion whatsoever on the part of the secretariat of the United Nations concerning the legal status of any country, territory, city, region or area.
